Running on Ubuntu 14.10 with wine-1.7.38.  I have the additional update to all the music to work.

The music is intermittent.  Sometimes it does not play the intro when the game loads, and rarely it does.  Most of the time there is no music during play, just sound effects.  Other times there is music, but generally only after a resume from something like a save.

Is this usual for this game, or should I be looking for something between the game and my environment?

I usually play without game music, because i got my own 80's/90's mix on the background, with only ambient and sound fx on -and more importantly : it annoys me alot when i hear the same music over and over-  But today i did check to see if it's a game problem, or your environment.

conclusion :
several 'tracks' are somewhat softer then others, so it seems it only plays ambient noice and sound fx, but with music volume up there is still music during game, to menu and back, even after save, or load.

so i think it's the wine / *nix audio drivers.

wine forces pulse audio, and it seems fine for sound fx.  However, I have had some irregularities with recent version of wine with respect to sound being patchy in other games.  It may be just a matter of sitting tight for the next issue of the wine beta.  Hope there is a new one with 15.04 which is out in beta and the release is imminent.

Further to this, you get music on the second load of the program.  It appears that the wine layer remains in memory, at least for a time.  Something inhibits the music link, but not sound effects, etc. on initial load.  Any other Linux users here?  Have you noticed this?
