Title: Crash - Runtime-steam-X64.dll crash
Post by: petermoussen on October 01, 2020, 12:05:25 PM
Hi,

Please can anyone help me with a crash that is occurring (Runtime-steam-S64.dll). Anytime I play the game for so much time straight and I regularly save and all is working well, no problem at all; but whenever I exit the game and them come back to load the saved game, it loads for a minute or less and it crashes.

Much appreciated if anyone can help with a solution.
Note: the game is modded, all mods are compatible with each other. I tried all other solutions posted but none is working. The local memory is not full whenever I play the game.

Thank you.

sounds like a bad save file. did you try going to an earlier save point? i usually save twice especially from day to day. it is possable that you just happened to save it right before it was goina crash. then we would need to look at the mod order. did you exit after setting the mod order? you might get lucky and play and then crash as you exit if you forgot to do that.

try different save points. if they all fail,then clear the game registry,reset the order and exit.load the game and exit again, just to be sure. try playing a year and save twice. exit and load a save file.

let us know what works.

It sounds to me like a registry problem, which can easily happen with mods in this game.  The registry will have multiple calls for one or more mods, and that causes a crash. You can edit the registry yourself, but if you're not comfortable doing that, then do this instead:

Disable all mods. Delete all saves. Start the game. Enable whatever mods you want and open a new map.  You can save it or not, but don't just "quit" instead exit the game all the way.  This will ensure that the registry matches the mods folder.  Once you start the game again, you should have no troubles.
