First we need a couple of food traders and an animal trader for sheep.

good to see you,Gatherer. what are the build requirements for the DS trade posts? they are nice looking buildings. i have the DS industry mod ,have to take a look to see if the traders can be built without the DS dock set.

There are 9 trading posts available. All need logs, stone, lumber, iron fittings and wagon parts. 2 also require glass.

The area around the church is messy. We will need to work on that in the future.  Clearing near the shore will be used for sheep pasture, if and when the merchants bring any.

A small question to "Gatherer" and to others. How do you make it so that after Terraforming, there is green grass like yours in the pictures? I only have bare ground all the time, after Terraforming. :(

there are different options to this. i believe for this map, GATHERER is using a "no dirt" start option which is in the RKEC mod. that according to the write up.

sometimes,it will depend on where you terrasform. do it to a large mountain and lots of times yes you get the dirt and rock texture. there are some road texture options that can be used around buildings and houses.  i have the grassy roads mod that has several different grass looks and a clear road as well.these will prevent growth of anything thru them,trees,shrubs, and food. handy for areas the bannies walk as well as along roads thru forests. CC has texture squares included that can be used to paint the ground. these are ghosted and do allow growth up thru them.there is some sand textures and grass included. these are fun to work with as you do need to paint 1 tile at a time. i actually did this to  terraform a lake before.


we do have other options now. much depends on the mods you are using and what you plan to do with the land.TOM's Nordic Landscape mod works similar to the RKEC in taking away the dirt. it also affects the climate however. both KID and EB made plants that can help decorate and hide the odd terrain texture,grasses,flowers, bushes.

That's what I tend to use, it doesn't get rid of it, but at least it breaks it up and also ponds are quite good as well

We've had an outbreak of typhus with ~30 infected and 2 dead. Small doctor tents from the Mini Mod were used to deal with it. But now, at least in the island village, there will be a real hospital.
