Title: Mini buildings
Post by: Bobbi on October 19, 2015, 09:52:17 AM
Hey all, Kralyerg over at Colonial Charter just posted a really cool mod which you do not need CC to play, as it is based on vanilla buildings.
http://colonialcharter.com/index.php/forum/kralyergs-kave-of-krazy-kontraptions/2068-mini-buildings. Should be very useful in early game.

By popular request. A series of small buildings to do basic tasks.

Included:
Mini Wood Cutter (Mini Wood Cutter is the same model as the Wood Chopper included in CC)
Mini Hunters Lodge
Mini Gatherers Hut
Mini Forester
Mini Fisherman
Mini Workshop (The Workshop can build either Iron Tools or Hide Coats)

The buildings are all 2x2 with no roads (except for the Fishing pier which is 1x3 with no roads).

All of the mini buildings have a radius of 15.

@Bobbi good to see you around! And thanks for that info, these look excellent, just the kind of thing I am interested in these days.

These are just perfect. IWT had very kindly already made a single fisherman for my Adam & Eve game and now I have the complete set!

I hope the theme continues. Personally Id love a smaller/more basic version of the Town Hall and Trading Post for my tiny communities.  Both buildings feel too big for a starting community but are quite necessary.

How about this:

I'd also love to see a different town hall, but not necessarily a smaller one. I don't really like the vanilla one and your Colonial Hall is nice, but too fancy for a basic town.

A trademaster's office (or something similar) that let's you see the town's inventory would be great in the early game, before a proper town hall is built.

I wanted that for so long now, I'd accept a plain rock with the functionality...  ::)

* But yeah, nice model...   :)

I love the look of that model.

It's supposed to be a house but it doesn't really look like a house to me, more like a hall or some other building. And it's got that not-too-fancy look that's perfect for a small village just starting out. And it's free. :) So one of our clever modders might be able to do something with it.

I did. For a long time. It's just slow coming. Soon, I hope...  ;)

I heard the TownHall code is rather... painful. So it's more like waiting for someone to take a deep breath and tackle the monster...  ;D

Kralyerg posted a version 3 that has a mini school and herbalist. Love that Kralyerg almost as much as @RedKetchup.

Yay!  So many lovely new thing to look forward to!

I'm off on holiday for a couple of weeks tomorrow - not sure how my Banished Addiction is going to cope without being to play while I'm out of the country but I have lots to look forward to when I get home!
