YEAR 20 REVIEW

population 64, with 30 workers in 15 houses and 3 houseboats. 3 nomad families arrived. we built our 1st trading post. it aquired  2 bison and 2 seeds, tobacco and corn. a nomad couple build a school and chuch. the 4th planted a forest to the east. the bannies had 1 accidental death. they did work hard at keeping the trade post stocked with coats and candles.the wood cutter has less time to cut lumber nowadays.

we didn't quite double our population. with the school, our work force grew slowly. we are starting to graduate students.

next goal- the merchants haven't brought any trade animals yet. i do think we will need a general trade post for those.
with the CC mod we will need lots of logs for lumber and we need building supplies which is a combination of several produced goods.hence,we need to get the production town started and use it to supply a general trade post. then we will need markets to move goods.

yes it is. and it won't alphabetize either. game adds 1 mod full of professions then adds the next to it.with 3 major mods, yours, CC , and DS IND. plus KID,NECORA,and EB add some. easiest way is maintain the builders and laborers. the workplaces hire indiviually. then have to manage them or adjust the limits.

usually i try to minimize what is in the inventory by not getting too many seeds. here i have to process lots with the CC building material chain. the CC Journey was set by trade values, so the balance is screwy.

YEAR 20 and 21

we gained 2 longhorn cattle with our farm trade post. a 16x16 pasture is fenced south of Memphis. we also trade for wheat seeds.

while we have time between nomad groups,we build another saltbox house for a girl on the houseboats. instead a couple divorces and the husband moves. typical bannies. the girls are reluctant to move from the houseboats. the fisherman and his son moved to a small colonial after his wife's death.and now a divorce. these bannies are slowing the population growth.

even thou we are in the south,we do get wind across the plains. some winters are very cold. we have had to work to keep stocked with firewood.this year we sent the sawmill cutting firewood.

YEAR 22 and 23

at 23. Valene decided not to be an old maid. she finally took a husband. the other 2 girls moved out of the houseboats.

we traded for root and pear seeds. the roots are planted. we have enough fruit that we won't plant the pears yet.  a 2nd tobacco field was planted also.

YEAR 24 and 25

a rural town market was built for thr start village. it will help move goods from the barns. a covered old town market is planned fo the trading city. this will keep a variety of goods for the trade posts.

in late spring 9 nomads arrived.2 couples, a teen worker, and 3 children.they will move to the mine mountain to the east of the forest.a production town will be built. they dig an RK random quarry. this will give iron and copper ore and stone.they build a DS hearth to make the anvil that is needed to make the blacksmith.these will improve our tools and give us materials for the trade poststo make the anvil, we needed to make charcoal.

YEAR 26

finally by spring ,we had the anvil to begin construction of the DS blacksmith.the hearth made iron fittings that will be used to make wagon parts. we have ran out of iron.the hearth upgrades to copper tools from the ore for the quarry workers.

it becomes much harder to tell who is who now. the houseboats do have some students living with the older parents.they are beyond child bearing,so no longer a concern. i located 2 females who graduated.the fisherman who's wife died now lives alone. he is 60. the others are paired up except the divorced couple. we will build 2 houses and 2 workplaces this year. graduates from this year will work to boost food production.

the missionaries convinced the 2 girls to move to the production town. they were concerned with the distance and wanted a school and church for the new town.

i'll explain the production situation. there are 3 main mods, the RK,DS,and CCJ. the DS buildings need many materials to build. they use coke fuel, made from the coke oven or charcoal.the CC  uses a lot of lumber. for fuel, it uses furnace fuel.the RK uses lumber and glass and can process iron without fuel.the glass needs charcoal or coal fuel. we will need iron but we also need to conserve firewood and logs. either way means more buildings than we have workers for.

some of the DS chain is needed to build the Thomson trade posts. there is enough copper ore collected to make copper tools to supply the quarry workers. hence the reason for building the hearth and blacksmith. the CC chain will be needed to build many of the CC houses and colonial buildings.the RK chain is much simpler and will support the other 2.

the trade post continues trading for seeds. it has seen trade animals but the merchants do not bring them often. any other map, they bring the trade animals too much, here very seldom. we have not been offered trade horses yet.

YEAR 27 and 28

food production did improve with the markets moving supplies from the barns. we do have more graduates to build houses for. a Colonial windmill and bakery are built near the city market. 2 saltbox houses are built for the graduates. the east forest added a gathering hut and an old hunter's hut. this should improve our food. the production town has a firewood cutter to supply the hearth.

we had 2 deaths during child birth.

13 nomads arrived in summer of our 28th year.7 adults, 2 teens, and 4 children.1 couple will plant a 3rd forest,1 begins work on a general trade post, and 1 family moves to the production town.

a pine and maple forest is planted north of the mine mountain. this will supply logs ,pine items, and maple sap for both the producion town and a future city.these will supply pine boughs for some charcoal and maple for the whiskey.

YEAR 29

an old town trade post is established. we need to improve our trading before we build the Thompson traders. a small market will keep the production workers supplied. they built a CC chain to process iron. a small refinery will make furnace fuel from coal to be used by the small smelter.

the livestock trade post continues to stock candles and both leather and fur coats. there is herbs and flowers stocked as well. the old town trade post stocks the tobacco.

the farm trade post brought in 4 pigs.there was a fight over this and the son kicked his parents out of their house.

YEAR 30 REVIEW

population 136,with 16 students,in 32 houses. we took in 2 groups of nomads, adding 22 bannies. the trade posts brought us longhorn cattle and pigs, plus wheat, root, sugar beet, and pear seed. the trade pports were expanded, markets have been built, and a new production town settled. we are planting a 3rd and 4th forest. an RK random quarry supplies the iron processors and DS blacksmith.

population more than doubled. we are graduating students steadily and they are pairing up nicely, finally.we are up to 3 towns; the start village,Memphis the trade center, and a production town.

next goal- a townhall is needed by the production town.they will want a tavern. a townhall will also be needed for Memphis. those will decide the materials needed by the production town. a pig pasture needs to be fenced. hopefully, merchants bring the horses and can start building the ranch.

I´m fine. :) Life is just a bit boring from time to time. We don´t go away much and I don´t see my grandson as much as I would like to but we get along.
