Hello there, guys!

I'm a veteran SC4 modder and i've been wanting to mod banished for quite a while now. The problem is that I have zero knowledge on technical issues regarding computers and softwares in general, I have only managed to mod sc4 myself because it was fairly easy and intuitive. So, my queston is, can I use google scketchup to mod banished? If so, how do I apply uw maps and all that complex stuffs? If I lend my sketchup models to others would they be able to use it?

Thanks for the help guys!

You have to use some 3D software other than Sketchup.
Blender is free. I use Sketchup and import .dae to Blender.
There I edit, UV-map, AO-map and add a pointlist (for interaction with the model).
Blender can be daunting at first. So are all those 3D editors.
There are very much information hidden here in the forum.
And as always, keep asking.

Post some pictures of your models and see the reaction.
If you get positive responses, maybe that is the trigger to learn
Blender or other software.

BTW. Welcome. :)
