I was looking at my latest venture and wanted very badly to have a vineyard or two and a chais, but in what I am running I don't have it.  Has anyone added viticulture to the game?

This just cries out for it.  Everything looks just right for viticulture here.

As usual, taking a screen shot in full screen mode under Linux/wine causes the program to hang.  Had to kill it, but I did the shot right after a save.

If you use the Colonial Charter mod it has grapes and a winery. With vanilla Banished you are pretty much limited to fruit ale--though in my own head I'm making cider from apples.

Thanks.  I'll dig into it.

Does it stand alone?

Oh, and you ought to taste the Slivovits I get out of my 'plum' beer.

Colonial Charter does indeed stand alone, though I use it with several of @RedKetchup's mods also loaded. The Colonial Charter website is http://colonialcharter.com/

Banished plus Colonial Charter is way more complex than vanilla Banished and takes some getting used to. There is a much larger number of production chains and therefore way more raw materials and crops.

Thanks.  I'll keep it in mind for the future, but with my present gear it might well slow things down to be totally unplayable.  I live in the hope of a native mode version of the game.
