A few years ago when I firstly played Banished I created an alternative version of a 1:1 ageing mod in order to tweak the values to what I wanted. When I played Banished this year, I realised I never modified the pregnancy values and the children were appearing way too fast compared to the new ageing speed. I changed it to something that makes more sense.

However, I also tweaked the values around education and interestingly, I managed to change it so the graduate age is the same as I originally set (15 years, after 8 years in school), however it doesn't seem to be dependent on the proximity to school, or at least not as much. I did some testing in the modkit version and also in my current town and indeed, everyone graduates at 15 (I think there can be a season or so difference if very far away).

Previously, this is what I had as education values:

int _requiredEducation = 400;
float _educationTimeLength = 9.2;
float _educationWorkLength = 45.7;

And it made the students living a few tiles away from the school graduate at 14 (instead of the intended 15), and longer distances quickly added on years.

Now, I have this:

int _requiredEducation = 8000;
float _educationTimeLength = 8.0;
float _educationWorkLength = 10.0;

And it ensures graduation at 15.

This is the original value from vanilla:

int _requiredEducation = 400;
float _educationTimeLength = 3.0;
float _educationWorkLength = 10.0;

If anyone is willing to try if this works for them, that could provide interesting information. I have the mod in two versions, one with mariage and childbearing pushed a bit further, and the other kept as I originally set.

You could always try something a little more realistic

Adulthood/school entry age   5 years old
Graduate age   16 years old
Marriage age   22 years old
Max marriage age difference   ? years
Child bearing age   22–45 years old
Citizen lifetime   65–85 years
Pregnancy duration   9 months
Break between births   2-4 years
Tombstone lifetime   120-150 years
