I like the shape of that building. Could look even better with a little ground-level planter box/garden bed running around the round/octagonal part. You don't have to fill it with plants, we can add ghost bushes etc. Could that be an F variant?

Sorry, I have squeezed the footprint to minimum.
There is simply no space to put a flowerbed.
Only beside the door but I left it as road tiles for
possible ghost decoration.

edit : Here - test it if you want. You can build a fence
with some flowers on the inside.

edit: link removed - look in download for mod

A ghost flowerbed set would be good. There are already those CC ones but they won't fit around a building like this. Plus not everyone uses CC.

kid1293

Well, I put some static flowers by the door.
You can see them in the corner of the picture.
You have to be satisfied with that.  :D

This is as far as Version 1 goes.
The file is probably in download later today.

Maybe some production will fit in for a V2.
I have to think about that. :)

Being a California girl, I've really hoped that a mission mod would be created one day. This is really looking great! Thanks so much.

If you look in 'Tiny Thoughts' thread you find a pdf-file
with the mission layout in 1818.
You can see it's possible to recreate the mission rather
faithfully with the buildings in this mod.
The church is much longer in the layout. Being that
long does not fit the game, so I shortened it.
Also there are no passageways. Just my imagination. :)

Ah. I post it here too. Easier.

Every time I look here, all I can say is OMG!  :)

Gatherer

You are right @Denis de la Rive. This is an amazing mod.

@kid1293 : About that wall to the left of the church entrance. Is there any special meaning to it, historicaly speaking? It looks a bit redundant. Or perhaps just a little too massive visually.
There's never enough deco stuff!!!
Fiat panis.

@Gatherer
The wall is hollowed out to be a seating place.
What's the original meaning to it, I don't know.

if you look at Architectual Drawings
you can see that it is built to keep the entrance in balance vs. the bell tower. The door is centered.

edit: found an old drawing. you can clearly see the seating place

@Paeng
I don't know how much historical fact there is in this.

Here is a small 'Quiet Garden' with a very special tree.
The water pool works as a well to extinguish fire.
It is 9x9 tiles and as you can see you can
connect to pathways on all four sides.

Edit: After thinking I added a f-key version without the 'fence'.

It's called progress movement... if it enhances the product, I disregard historical notes...  ;)

Nice piece!

Little greedy-guts sez: Add another one with a roof, too...  :o  ;D

Red roof from here to the horizon?
Sound like the mission is expanding.  ;D

Not now, there is a tree there and it needs sunlight.
But I can think of many places with a roof. :)

Next up is a hostel 9x3 with a low second floor on the five middle tiles.
Should be easy now when I have speed up.

I wouldn't mind... and for some of the more utilitarian structures you could use different textures, even the thatch... e.g for a small barn, mission style but thatched...

Oh, I meant to ask - would you consider working a little on the residential doors and windows? When we zoom out they look a bit like black holes...  ;)

Loading...

I see what you mean, windows and doors are only dark, no structure.
I will look into that.

A little bit better. I have enhanced the frames to make them stand out more,
and in general added color and light to the windows.
If I lighten the windows more they become 'cloudy' and that does not look nice.
