Just started to play a little Banished again after a brief break. In this Nordic "seafarer" game I have a family with 8 young children in a 5 person turf house. How can this happen?

Answer: An epidemic of Tuberculosis is the reason. Areliah and her first husband had 3 children after he died of tuberculosis she married a widower with 3 children but unfortunately, also he died of tuberculosis. I hope she is luckier with the next widower who "only" had 2 children.
