Ephenville - Part 1

1 Early Spring
A small group of people set out to test the ideas of @Discrepancy, the architect.
Added support mods - tanypredator - New Flora, Kid - Tiny and Workplaces.

2 Early Winter
We found a nice place with lots of water that let us build a fishing spot immediately.
We managed to get everybody housed before winter. Food was low but all helped out
gathering wild food from the forest. A small garden shed was easy to set up.
Now we would have trees and some food in the future too. Hunters were deployed.
We had to get meat and leather. We have built a bridge to the east to get resources.
Now we had to produce something to trade.

5 Early Summer
The hunters were very productive and when we built a school we let one hunter be
a teacher. We had so much venison, we could get corn seeds from the trader.
We could use more workers but we have to wait until our young are educated.
A mine and a quarry was built but put on hold.

12 Early Spring
We successfully build many buildings for a proper village center. Two of our children
have finished education and now work as adults. We have land for some more years but
we need land for our farms. We must investigate the possibility of using the lake for
residential buildings.

Conclusion Part 1.
Discrepancy's Small Village mods work very well and are easy to build from the start.
There are many possibilities to enhance your village and the overall appearance is 5 stars!
Now the real test begins. Will the new Stone Bridge mod hold up? Is it balanced?
Will there be a lot of walking for the bannies to go to work? Many questions.

Yes, me too!
It shows I am only human.  ;)

Ephenville - Part 2

19 Early Spring
Work begun to collect resources, build a lumber mill and prepare more houses.
Nomads have started to arrive and, to begin with, we accept all new hands.
Soon our resources were stocked up and we could begin with the blueprints for
'Ephenville Lake'.

21 Spring
We made an extension out in the lake in little over two years.
The architect has provided very good blueprints!

Conclusion Part 2.
I am not used to lumber but it proved easy to use and gave some depth to
building more complicated houses. The buildings are good and very detailed.
Not too expensive either. Parts fit well together.
The mod already have a rich variation and I hope more will come.
A worthy companion to Small Village! :)

Ephenville - Afterword

Just for testing trader pathing and bannies walking on bridges,
I used debug to add bridges, extensions, houses and people.

The bannies keep on the bridges but sometimes they walk in a funny zig-zag pattern.
That makes it possible for trader boats to pass under bridges and it all works!
The boats do not always take the route you want them to, but they manage.

The whole thing is well planned in a laidback, nice atmosphere.
Once you get used to it ( and if there are more houses  ;) )
it will be a must have mod to use more of the map.
There are many connections possible if you use DS Jetties.

Yes, it does!
It is a whole new concept. Not just jetties but really solid houses.
I wish there were more variation to the houses. New models, not only new textures.

Abandoned

Very nice indeed, those buildings are fantastic looking.

Discrepancy

The town is looking very nice :) thanks for all the testing and bug spotting.

More housing, hmm. Maybe another time, I don't want to add too much more into this mod for v1. Already 50mb+

;D

kid1293

Sure, use your time wisely! :)

I only meant this mod has potential. It is already an excellent V1!
