maybe it is time to have forum taking over. i thought we got some candidate willing to take care of the futur
I was the one willing to take over and was in contact with Chihuahua. But for personal reasons he had no time to make it happen so I told him to just send me whenever he should be rdy to do it.
My host migrated us to another platform and the hard coded directories changed on us. The default theme should be correct now.
Let me know.
Side note: I am digging into the site code to see if I can fix the registration issue before handing this off to the next owner.
When I moved towards closing the site and then decided to see if someone could take it over in December of '20 I got sick. It has taken until this month to get my strength, sense of taste, and sense of smell back. My motivation has been barely enough to work and take care of the home. I'm feeling a bit more motivation these days and am finally interested in trying to get this site back in shape.

@The Big Chihuahua There is a problem with most pictures added to forum threads - for example see here:

That picture will load when clicked most others won't load. Hope not a big problem to fix.
Looks like we have an issue with attachments. I looked on the server and the files are there and the file IDs are correct in the database for the link but the link is not pulling them up.
I'm still checking...
Yes, problem seems to be with attachments. The only one of the ones I checked that worked to show picture is the one I posted link to in this thread.
The gallery is working okay. I will change avatar in the morning and see if that works.
Hopefully an easy solution to problem when cause is found.
@The Big Chihuahua Here is the message I get when trying to change avatar picture
"The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved."

@The Big Chihuahua Hope you are well. Another problem has been noticed, we are now missing spell check. There is no button now. Also small zip files and pkms post in threads are no longer available to download.

yeah forum refuse to change link for download or refuse to delete the link for a direct upload on the forum. when you refresh, it is the same old bad link as before.
