DS Small Village: Services v1.1.2
NEW - Village Herbalist & Village Hospital (with upgrade)
+ Wells, School, Village Hall, Chapel, Church & Cemeteries.


compiled with the latest version of Banished 1.0.7


New in DSSV:Services v1.1.2
- altered the Village Hall. Tiles in front of hall are now all road build tiles and the flag pole and agapanthus have been moved and duplicated (2 poles) to be in front of windows. These flag poles can now use the Flags available in the mod DSSV: Production.
- fixed the incorrect AO in Village Hall build models.
- changes to the DStoolbar.


New in DSSV:Services v1.1.1
- removed the NewLimits from the Village Hall. This means the mod can be played with or without. If playing with a mod that adds the new limits (e.g. DS Lumber Mill / DS Jetty & Bridge) ensure this mod is placed below in the mod list. The Village Hall will be still missing some parts, but can be used.

Village Herbalist - 5x2 footprint, 2 herbalists, 30 radius. Requires 21 logs + 8 stone + 34 work to build.


Village Hospital - 12x10 footprint, 1 physician, 30 patients. Requires 89 logs + 34 stone + 21 iron + 144 work to build.

Upgrade option:
- 1-2 physicians, 45 patients. Requires 34 logs + 21 stone + 8 iron + 55 work to build.


also includes:
  • Village Well - 1x1 footprint, 2 styles + angled variants, 1000 volume. Requires 40 stone + 4 logs + 80 work to build.
  • Large Village Well - 2x2 footprint, 1 style + angled variant, 2000 volume. Requires 55 stone + 4 logs + 144 work to build.
  • Village School - 20 students, 1 teacher. Requires 55 logs + 13 stone + 55 work to build.
  • Village Chapel - 50 citizens, 1 cleric. Requires 34 logs + 55 stone + 3 iron + 89 work to build.
  • Village Church - 120 citizens, 1 cleric. Requires 55 logs + 89 stone + 21 iron + 144 work to build.
  • Cemeteries: (22 new tombstones & crosses added, only appear on the village cemeteries)
  • Small Village Cemetery - 5x5min 15x15max. Requires 1 log + 1 work per tile to build. tombstones stay in ground for 7-9 years.
  • Village Cemetery - 7x7min 30x30max. Requires 1 stone + 1 work per tile to build. tombstones stay in ground for 4-6 years.
  • Fenceless Village Cemetery - 5x5min 30x30max. Requires 1 work per tile to build. tombstones stay in ground for 6-8 years.
  • Village Hall - records and displays village data & statistics. nomad attracting. Requires 89 logs + 55 stone + 21 iron + 144 work to build.


All buildings now have AO (Ambient Occlusion) in v1.1:

  - Download from here the latest .zip file.
  - unzip the file (right-click on file, and select unzip/extract/etc).
  - place DSSmallVillageServices.pkm inside your Banished/WinData folder.
  - enable the mod on the Main Menu and Pause Menu.

I was wondering if you were going to update the firewood yard from the original small village set to work with the 1.0.7 update?  I LOVE that fire chopper!   Actually - I Love all your stuff!   Thanks!

I am currently working on the production buildings for DSSV, just a few more things to do, then some tests & bug fixes. I hope to have completed by this weekend.

Updated to v1.1

includes new Village Herbalist


the Village Hospital:
build the basic hospital on the large plot:

click on the upgrade button picture in the building UI to re-build with added wing for 1-2 physicians & 45 patients, also adds a stone wall & 3 trees (each move in the 'wind', though I'm not too happy with the pines method of movement, also the ficus-like tree at the front is deciduous using the billboard material, the leaves will change colour and drop in Autumn-Winter.


All buildings now have AO (Ambient Occlusion) in v1.1:

Thank you for this huge collection, I really enjoy using it :)

I was wondering, if you were to update it again in the future, if we could please have a 2nd Town Hall please?

One in the texture of the large Tithe storage, or of your village church, I really like the stone work, and I think it would suit the village hall quite well.  :)

I currently use your Village Hall in with Kid's Row house facilities, and your tithe barn :)



I've added a screenshot to show another TH I've found in MM/CC (can't remember which) to show you how the stone looks good with the other :)


Also - could it please be possible to add a Minimise button to the Village Hall please?


None of this is a game breaker for me, just some ideas if you were wondering what to do in a future upgrade :D
