first time ever i did handled such "minimizing button" ^^
never did before so still took some time to figure out how it works

First time or no, you did wonderfully, now if only it had been 'native', but at least you were able to do a work around.
Is there a way to also do the event box (you don't have to, I'm curious) as well? 

What I really miss is also the ability to resize the UI Boxes, but, meh, work arounds are excellent, like these.

thank you @RedKetchup the button works great on 1.0.6, it will certainly help with adjusting to the bigger 1.0.7 status box.
