Kid - Forest Haven V1.04

Kid - Forest Haven V1.04

V1.01 A fix so you can remove the Haven Houses from the trees.

V1.02 Fixed the mill numbers.

V1.03 Some minor fixes

V1.04 Added a trader and storage shed.

This all started long ago with the thought of tree houses connected with bridges.
There is no reasonable way to do it with separate trees and bridges.
I experimented with a pre-made platform where I could put the houses.
I found a way to make it work and together with Abandoned we built this mod.

The houses are on two different heights to match the platforms.
You will have to place a house exactly to make it work.
The door of the house must be where the doorstep is on the platform.

The platform itself is a market.
We included my Tree Topper houses with the same fantastic oaks.
Another platform to collect walnuts was built.
There are ground houses and production buildings.
School, trading, and a lot more.
The textures we used are from my Nativity Chapel here (http://worldofbanished.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=525)

I love this mod 99%....the 1% I don't like is the Workshop. Way too big, does not fit into a town set up well in my opinion...and is too busy...tools, clothes, that fits. Bread...should be a bakery. But way too big. Just my opinion.

@twilightbreeze , as the name implies the mod is intended more for a forest setting rather than a town - the oak trees are very tall.  The workshop makes clothes and tools, there is a bakery for bread.  I am thinking perhaps an earlier version was downloaded in error.  Do you not have the bakery?  Is workshop menu different than shown?

I have checked and double-checked (downloaded file from here).
There is no bread in the workshop. Once there was so I thought I had
forgotten it in. No, it is okay.

Well, maybe not okay if the size is wrong. You can use Smith and Tailor
from the Workplaces mod if you think this one is too big.

I often go by what I want when I mod. It is very hard to listen to every wish.
The result is can be bland and not fun if I compromise too much.

Loving this mod thanks kid1293. You and Abandoned come up with some good ones.
From "gee, like that nativity texture need more of it" too this little gem. Amazing!

Anyways, onward to my usual sour grapes

I'm making a lot of simple mistakes of late.
Forgot to ask, how do you destroy a Haven House?

Oh, here's an after shot of a twitchy finger causing a misplacement of a Haven House.
just ignore my pet breaking the fence.

Let's say this - You send the dunce cap back and I won't say anything? ;)

??? ??? You really nailed it this time! There is no way to remove the house!
I have tested and then went through the code but no, I had forgotten that I made
the houses special. I will start immediately to fix it. An update is coming.
...I'll try to make it save-game compatible!

Well, well...

I fixed the errors in this mod and in More Havens (the same mistake).

You can download and put the file in a saved game. It will work.

I added a small button to the house menu (see picture). Now they are removable.

Abandoned's Forest Haven Story 53 thread is locked so I couldn't reply there... but I wanted to say that I LOVED that story and the mod looks fantastic. Just downloading each of the mods (most of which I've never played with before) to give it a try.

Thanks for the fix for not being able to remove the high houses.  I had run into that problem.
