Interesting results from a study of passwords found to be used by hackers.

That was an interesting article. I have followed password security a little the past few years. I find it interesting the passwords people tend to use. I find it amusing though that the hackers themselves tend to use weaker passwords.

Interesting but not surprising.  Many people, including hackers, just don't think very much when picking a password.  I have used foreign words and phrases for years and never had a problem, but one never knows when someone will figure out what one is up to.

The Internet can be a bad thing in the hands of the wrong people or even the right people for the wrong reasons.  I think one of the things that has potential for causing more trouble than it has already is the idea of a 'social' network.  People are so used to private communications that it never occurs to them that the Internet is a broadcast medium.  Anyone with the proper equipment can sit on the data stream and intercept all of it.
Go not to the oracle, for it will say both yea and nay.

Even private communications are not so private, anymore.

Computer networks never were private, from the point of view of the administrators.  Encryption raises your odds of complete privacy but cannot guarantee it from code-breakers.
