Your best virtual travels (aka Google Streetview)
« on: May 20, 2014, 12:25:11 PM »
Inspired by a mention on the SRS forum by @rkelly17 of using Google Streetview for historic sites to students, I wonder what the most interesting spots on Google Streetview are. Know of any good or special spots to virtually walk around in?

I'll repeat the link I gave there to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, The Netherlands: https://www.google.com/maps/views/view/streetview/art-project/van-gogh-museum

If you have ever watched the Doc Martin tv series, go to Port Isaac, UK and have a virtual tour of the town where they film the show. Take a walk up Roscarrock Hill and you will see the house they use for the surgery and Doctor Martin Ellingham's home.
