Cities: Skylines launched on the Xbox One today.
I'm traditionally a PC gamer going back decades, but about ten years ago I bought a 360 to play Assassin's Creed and I've gotten into playing certain types of games on console as opposed to PC. Heavily story driven games are nice sitting on the sofa, I guess.
There's always been a distinct lack of these types of games on console, and I'm excited to give it some play. Tropico 5 is the only recent city builder I know of on console and it was fun, but nothing special like Cities. Played Cities Skylines for a bit before getting into Banished last year and it's a fantastic game on PC. There's been no indication they will do this, but Xbox now has the capability to implement mod support and it will be interesting to see if Cities gets to that point.
Loaded it up for a minute, earlier. Controls are a little funky, being used to playing on PC, but it looks great and has a good feel to it. Very interested to see how console handles the loads when a sizable city is built.
