I was wondering if it is somehow possible to start with two couples and some seeds and/or animals. I know that there's a single start, but no seeds and it takes up to 15 years before the freaking no good bum of Trader comes by with the right stuff.

Few villagers (up to 4 max) with 1 or more seeds and/or 1 or more animals, that's what I would like. Anything out there something that can achieve this? Or does anyone know how to do it?

If I would be banned, I would make sure that I have a potato and some cabbage seeds and maybe 2 or 3 chicken or a pig with me.
Thanks for help/replies, much appreciated.

As far as I remember; if you play the North from @Tom Sawyer the Anders and Ella start has potatoes. It's only one couple and they have no animals, but anyhow; a little better than nothing.

I have always wondered; if people have potatoes from the start (most of them  have) why on earth don't they save some, to put in the ground? Pretty stupid to eat them all and then stave. I don't think Luke; the creator of Banished knows much about farming/gardening! ;)

Thanks for this direction, one couple with at least one sort of seeds (or crop) will be better than nothing. Now I have to find the "North", which doesn't seem to be easy. Would you have a linkie? Edit: found it! Sorry, it was closer than I thought.......
There are a few errors concerning farming and also others things, most of them are logical errors, like not having potatoes or apples seeds with them, while they are already included in the fruit itself.....

Thank You for your suggestion, it is appreciated. ;)

there is also a "garden seed" mod that gives you garden veggy's to start with. you can eat them or sort them into a variety of veggys.

Thanks. I need to find the 1.06 update, I am not on Stream or Steam, whatever you call it. Anyone knows where I can find it? The North pkm file does not appear ingame without it.

Thanks

I'm not on Steam either. I bought Banished from Humblestore and downloaded the upgrade from there.

the highest patch the developper has provide himself is 1.0.5

http://www.shiningrocksoftware.com/patch/

try with the last one 1.0.4 to 1.0.5 151026

the difference between 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 is some bugfixes

Quote– Fixed a crash that occurred when clicking on the town hall if a translation mod was in use that was built with 1.0.4. Missing text data will now be blank.
– Fixed a bug that caused orchards and pastures to not drop items inside their boundaries as was intended.

@mrbisonm I was just at banishedinfo.com checking who made one of the mods I am using with my currant map, and I came across a mod called multiple starts v1.2 by Tikaszar and I remembered your thread here.  The mod has 21 different start conditions that sound interesting to me.  Some have different starting buildings, different number of people with or without children, some with livestock, sorry no mention of seeds thought.  Thought you might be interested.  I'd be interested to know if anyone here has tried the mod.

mrbisonm

@Abandoned, Thank you. I will surely try out this mod and see what the 27 start conditions are. Sounds good!
