Very nice!

I have a small question (and hopes to company it)
Does all animation have the same high quality?

I know you made wind dependent movement.
Is this the general (high) degree of what will be
when you release?

It will surely be spectacular!
Thanks! Actually it's not even the final version. I think I'll improve horse animation a little and add some inertia to driver movement so he won't look so rigid. I really like the look of low-tech preindustrial machines moving and I'll try to add as much of it as I can. Recently I've found some really cool stuff on this subject from the book dated 16th century: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_re_metallica
It describes a lot of water- and wind-powered machines and I think those kind of things would look great in game!

What fantastic work mate!
Thanks! Good to hear that!

Okay, so yet another month of development has passed and a lot of new things added to the game. Not that lot to show though, because most of things were about secret inner workings of the simulation, game saving and path finding. But, anyway, my development approach implies never getting stuck on same task for too long to save productivity. So there's a bunch of new buildings and visual improvements to show. You can read more on my site or IndieDB with one of these links:

nice work, the buildings looks very eastern european,i wonder if the game will have a religion system,i'm asking because i didn't saw any church  in the pictures yet,or perhaps i didn't watch closely.

Even though I'm not a religious person, it would be a mistake not to add churches to a city-building game in historical setting, considering the fact that they may look really beautiful. Here's a couple of WIP models:

There's some Ostriv development news: Advanced farming and customizable buildings
Talking about some new gameplay decisions and new features added to the game in last couple of weeks

Nice work.
I read through your farming concepts and wonder if this will
lead to a lot of micro-management from the player.
If the people need a plough - do you set them to make a plough?

Or do they recognize the need by themselves?
When they are done, do they continue usual life or are they
plough-makers that need to be interrupted by the player?

For now it's all manual. But I need to test things out to see how it plays. If it'll become tedious, I'm gonna add a feature to hire managers who will take some routine jobs from player.
