Post by: RedKetchup on August 02, 2016, 11:49:47 AM
HAHA Just got my latest little toy :)

A Probox 4-Bay Harddrive that can go up to 4X8TB=32TB
 I've put 4x 2 TB inside = 8TB

and i replaced the 2TB i ve got in my computer itself with 1.5 TBs

So at the end i have now :
 SSD 128 GB, HDs: 1x500GB, 3x1500GB, 4x2000GB = 13TB
(My SSD is for my windows, and the 500GB is for warcraft and all my other games.)

It works so awesome ! :)
and so much space 13,000 GB LOLLLL

Hmm.

Because this is not a Windows board I guess no haters coming around the corner, whining "For what do you need so much space?" and so on...

You know what I mean.

But to be a little cynical:

Now to the 8k textured models! Ha ha ha.

I got a simple docking slot in my case where I can push in 3.5" SATA HDD, using only when needed, for example if I really decide that I want to archive a downloaded movie - this happens only with the best.
I use the tool HotSwap! to unload the HDD after use:

Same with complete TV series, only a few make it.
When not in use the HDD is inside an anti-static HD plastic box, like tupperware for data.

Like many people I burnt too much CDs/DVDs several years ago, then the 1080p came, the .mkv format became popular and now all the movies and series in DVD-R format are wasting space (and wasted money).
A couple of (well conserved) HDDs in a cupboard is better than hundreds of DVDs.
IMHO

yeah me too i burnt too many cd/dvd/dvd_DL  :'(
i ve got to make this choice because lately , 1 of my 1.5TB started to acting strangely. it was freezing my PC for minutes and then the hard drive was disappearing from my desktop icon :( and this 1.5TB had all my favorite tv series on it....

with this + 4X 2TB ... i wont need more space for a while.
