Bucket List
« on: November 07, 2015, 08:03:38 AM »
When it comes to travel, everyone should have a bucket list. (A list of places to see before you kick the bucket.)  Here's mine:

Inuvik on the Mackenzie River.
White Horse, Yukon
Yellowknife, NWT
Iqaluit, NU (Frobisher Bay)
Charlottetown, P.E.I.
And that will cover all the provinces and territories where I have not been in Canada
Rome
Athens
Istanbul
Moscow
Warsaw
Vienna
And that will probably do, considering that I may not be around long enough.

There's only one place that I havenīt been from my bucket list and that is Iceland. I had orders to go there, but, my heart farted and the trip was cancelled. Got stuck in Maine for the rest of military service until retirement.

That's tough, but if you want to meet some Icelandic people and/or their descendants, take a vacation to Gimli, Manitoba.  A lot of Icelandic people settled there in the early 20th century.  We tend to encourage people to keep their culture, so you might be pleasantly surprised.  Sorry, no volcanoes.
