DS Ale House v3.0

adds an Ale House to brew and serve Ale, Strong Ale & Local Brew, also adds a water source, for all recipes now require water. F-key texture variants of ale house.
v3.0 -- 6 January 2019

Not save-game compatible with v2.0 or 1.0
added in v3.0: Stream Water Collector, 1-2 workers collect water, required for Ale House recipes. adds 10 variants of the Strong Ale barrel storage stock piles (was only 4 in v2.0), adds 4 variants of Local Brew storage stock piles.
in v2.0, we removed Honey, Wild Honey and Mead resources, the Ale House now only brews Ales (you can find mead in the new mod DS Mead Brewing).

the Ale House sits on a small angle to the game tiles, with only the front left 2 tiles 'road-tiles'. it sits on 4x5.

I am trying to improve my texturing skills, hence the reason why you are lucky enough to get 3 variants.

They all look good. I like mods that offer multiple textures. Gives more variety and makes it all look more interesting.  :)

Nice touch having it angled. That will satisfy many town-builders.

I really like the wall textures. Have you put layers with moss on them?

Yes, I found and edited a couple of ivy textures and had them overlay the stone in the texture file. I unwrapped the model, with nothing overlapping apart from the wood pieces. Baked the AO, used that to add a semi-shadow on the texture file, also added many,many,many overlaying layers, used a 'mottled' brush to add green/brown tinge to stone.

I find it can be very slow to do texturing like this sometimes, but this exercise I gave myself only a short period of time to make.

The 3d model I made pretty quickly just after posting the last DSSV package, I started the basic UV mapping of the textures as I went, just using some simple textures first to get the 'feel'.
Got to the finished 3d stage in a few hours, then worked more on the textures. Made one variant that day, had a day off, then now just spent a couple of hours making alternate textures, re-using, adding and manipulating parts to suit.

 ;D I found it fun, and did it quickly (to me).

I removed the Mead and Honey resources as I thought it should only brew Ales, I added Strong Ale from Pick & Hen for an extra dimensiondrop ...

A bit sad it can no longer brew mead as that is the only type of alcohol I ever brew. I will still use the mod though because of those storage barrels if they really store all types of alcohol (mead of course lol).

P.S.: Any chance of a standalone alcohol storage mod? 1x1 tile cellars, barrels, small wagons,...?

I thought this might upset someone...

I plan on making a patch mod that will bring back a few of the production options that I'm removing from some mods for simplification.

More storage options are always planned, so yes I can do that.

tomorrow, I will add a 'lite' version without the ghosted decorative barrels... this drops the .pkm size down to 18-19mb from 30mb.

it's hard to make good looking barrels with low poly. i made too low poly logs with DS Timber Mill and they do look hideous... anything round chews up the poly count.
