Is there a mod out there that works with the latest version of Banished that will place down instant roads that can be travelled down by our Bannies please? I really want my Bannies to be able to focus on more important tasks instead of building roads. Thank you!

That would be wonderful, but I have never seen a mod like that.

Cajun Beauty

I wonder if making a mod like this is even possible?

When setting the costs and time for building roads to zero (0)
they still send out a bannie who makes a whack at the ground
for every tile. I think it is hard-coded.

Maybe try to use some debug mod and set zero-build-cost. Buildings will be built instantly, so maybe roads too.
I'm not at my computer so I can't try it myself.

The same goes for debugging. If you set to build freely,
you still have a bannie hammering the tile in place.

Thank you for explaining that. Atleast that tells me that it isn't possible to do which is a shame, but it is what it is. It feels backwards, but if I want to save time I can just instantly build the buildings and have the Bannies build the roads lol.

The Debug mod (from the link) has a zero build cost feature. This feature places buildings and roads without any building. So it does exactly what you want and you can just choose to switch it off every time you want to build something other than a road. That's at least how it worked for me after testing it out for a bit.

Test some more. The shadow of a road gets put on the ground,
but the road is not there. You still have to wait for a builder
to whack it into place, even with debug.
