Title: Cows... again
Post by: Paeng on February 15, 2017, 12:04:25 PM
So sorry, I know there was a lot of talk about the different cows we have - I'm still not quite clear on them  :-[
Not so much who uses which, but about this particular model I keep seeing...

The attached screenshot - iirc, that is the rather ugly default red cow (with those spindly legs), just with a much better black and white (Friesian) re-skin, right?

I seem to remember a much better proportioned Friesian cow - what happened to that? Was that from another mod? And if so, could that model be pulled over to replace this one here? Or else, can a better model be purchased, maybe even a set of B&W, red SotH, bulls etc... (I'd chip in, just to see this old one go  ;) )...

It's not the cost or the work.
I can't, RK can't and many other modders can not get them into the game.
They either become distorted or static.

Those cows are from my Workplace and I just reskinned the vanilla ones.
Personally I don't like the stumbling Friesian cow (CC NMT ? ) so I stayed with vanilla.
At least they have animation. (sort of) :)

I can not get to the animation and import it to another cow, Luke never released it.

Dang... foiled again  :D

Shows I'm not much of a rancher - I always hated the red default and rarely used it... so I was happy when the better proportioned friesian (and milk chains) came in - never noticed it stumbling... not much of a cow-watcher either  LOL

So not much we can do about it, huh?  :'(

As long as you don't make them too psychedelic, it's all right.

Why is it so hard to learn animations?  >:(

no kidding :( i would make only that for a year lol

edit : i would take my cow and make exactly like that. looking very good
they look exactly like those we have in canada. they are red and white holstein but only recognized since 1962.

they also look a bit to guernsey from england but the brown spot in the back are shattered in many little spots.

Guernsey cows are really good for milk and very gentle.  We had them when we farmed-rich milk great for making butter.

The black and white cows look really good with the red and white barn and with the small dairy.
