you need a gatherer hut. thats the gatherers who are picking up the apple buckets that spawn on the ground at the apple tree roots.
normal tree has a list of things it needs to spawn regulary. they are usually onion... mushrooms... berries....
an apple tree from an apple tree lodge, the list of things to spawn contain mainly, or exclusively, apple buckets. each buckets has 44-56 apples inside.
but like an onion or a mushroom, you need your gatherer to go pick it up :)
you wont find anything in the lodge window statistics. it will be in your gatherer hut statistic window.
