started with a colonial village to produce the food.  then KIDD's mission to bring in the nomads and  house them.  the railroad and DS Thompson Tradeposts bring in most of the food and supplies. the city ships coal and iron and has a train factory to manufacture more rail cars. there are several churches, a stage coach, a college, and even an EB swimming pool. many CC, DS, and RK production buildings. an upperclass district with a RK bath, dentist, and school. Necora's pine mod supplies charcoal and linen  used by TOM's papermill.
