Yeah, starting up a new mod set! This one is gonna be Morocco based. I finished the tea tree that's gonna be the first part of the set, and am currently working on the tea house.
(The lighting on the picture is kinda bad... I will have to add new pictures later.)
Ok new picture of the tea, and the teahouse too :)
Love that colorful tea house! In the snow :)
Great job!
That is very nice! It is nice to see buildings different from the European styles.
Added 2 new F variants for the teahouse

After a lot of code wrangling (ugh), I finally finished the Fes Hammam. It's a bath house that works a little like an herbalist (takes one herb, gives health). I wish I could change the input, but I don't think I can.

you can only change flag, i think
@angainor88 :D I am sorry - for my idea - wooden teahouse - but I did not know that I caused a dispute on the forum - it's good that you came back and continue to create your style mods - I love this style and would like to have even more colorful exotic houses and decorations in the game, Cheers
Yeah, I wanted it to be fuel, but I could only change the limit flag, not what the healer uses.
@taniu those are some nice pictures! Do you have the source for the third one?
It is represented here but I do not understand language.

@ kid1293 provided the correct page - it's in Polish - but you can use the translator Goggles - if you use it. I can translate you into English picture 123

The Hasan II mosque in Casablanca is impressive in many respects. It is located on an artificial island, which looks as if it literally emerged from the ocean. Is the second, third, seventh or thirteenth largest mosque in the world - sentences are divided. There is no doubt, however, that the 210-meter mini-meter standing next to him is the highest in the world. It is also the tallest building erected in all of Morocco.
The Hasan II mosque was built by 30,000 workers for 5 years. Holds 105 thousand believers - 25 thousand inside the building and 80,000 on adjacent areas. The roof of the mosque is opened, so you can look directly at the sky from the inside.

Tangier is considered to be the oldest city in Morocco, although, contrary to the original theories, it was not founded by the Phoenicians in the 17th century BC. The original inhabitants of Tangier - at that time still referred to as Tingis - were the Berbers, whose name comes from the language. The Phoenicians did not appear until about a thousand years later. They are not, anyway. Due to its attractive location on the northern edge of Morocco, Tangier has repeatedly tempted various origins of invaders.
In 1922-1956, Tangier even gained the status of an international zone - something like a free city, only under the joint management of representatives of eight European countries at the same time. Tangier's administrators were, among others French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch or Belgian.

Dżam al-Fana is the largest square in Marrakech, which is also its biggest tourist attraction. Anyway, not from today. Its name translates as "a gathering of the dead", which it owes to the slaves' fairs held until the 19th century and executions, whose victims (remains) were exposed to public view. Today, Dżami al-Fana is a dark market where you can do your shopping, eat well, or watch a range of local attractions.
The square itself was also popular years ago. Among other things among ... hippies. What extraordinary Marrakesh had to offer flower children? In short: kif. That is local marijuana in large quantities.
Cheers
@angainor88 :D :D The whole country is an extremely colorful mosaic, where we will be delighted not only by ancient Roman excavations and masterpieces of Islamic architecture, but also by the everyday life of residents. [picture 1]
picture2The cinema museum in Ouarzazate, Morocco. Ouarzazate nicknamed the desert door, capital is the city and Ouarzazate Province
picture3 The world's largest film studio. There were countless films and TV shows here, including one of Bondów (In the Face of Death), Asterix and Obelix, Play for the Throne and one of the episodes of The Grand Tour. On the gigantic area of the studio in Ouarzazate you will find ancient buildings and fortresses, airplanes, a collection of sphinxes and other film props. Studio Atlas - link to the map.
@ angainor88 :D a city located at the foot of the majestic Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen (Chefchaouen). A city with blue walls

bazaar
Aaah thank you for the pictures and the sources! I like to know where the pictures were taken so I can accurately label things. (Also lots of people like to label their pictures "Morocco" online, when they are pictures of other countries)
Ok so next piece is finished :) The Fes Tannery (it works like a tailor)
Very nice!
I like the tannery! It has a natural look (maybe not in Northern tundra) :)
I am glad you continue to make nice buildings :)
Such a unique mod set. I really like these buildings.
Apparently they do a lot of filming in that area of the world.
I am working on doing a mosque next (based loosely on the Hassan II one). It's really big haha.
@angainor88 :D nice buildings ;D Merry Christmas and happy New year :D
Happy new year! I know it's late :P
I did not have much time over the holidays, but I've finally finished the Casablanca Mosque! It's... very big.
Very nice looking building, and your texturing is getting better and better :)
what is the footprint it sits on?
It is beautiful, I can see now it is huge compared to the trees in the background. :)
Hmm 14x20 I think? I will double check.
And thank you! Texturing is the part I am learning the slowest :P
These are so good! Really makes me want to do a 17th century Marrocan coast settlement. Think I'll sneak in some N-African settlers in my current town before that.^^
Heeee I'll have to work on these faster then :P
I just keep doing these fancy models haha, so they take extra long.
Ok so here is the finished Fes University! (with a little help from
@Bartender 's Water Technology and
@Discrepancy )
I also separated out the fountain in the middle to have as a well also :)
you are getting better and better
@angainor88 !!!
Thank you! When I finish this set I am going to have to go back and fix the AOs on the South Africa set, since I finally figured out how to make those work :P
@angainor88 :D :D :Dthanks that you are passionate about this subject - I love blue houses - you are very good at it - fantastic - all your objects I like Cheers very much.
Thank you
@taniu Don't worry there are gonna be a bunch of blue houses when I get to the house part of this set :P As there is one famously blue city in Morocco
I forgot to include a picture of the fountain! I thought it was visible in the university picture, but it is not haha.
And, with the help of
@Discrepancy and
@RedKetchup, here is the Atlas Mountain storage and optional second floor housing. They helped me with how to put it on mountains without crashing the game haha.
now i think you need to learn the terraform or quarry functions :)
Next piece done: the Chefchaouen Synagogue!
Ok here is the Moroccan Souk! I have one mare larger piece, and a couple smaller items before I am done. Going to try to make some walls with big fancy gate things :)
Then it's on to the houses!
The last big piece is here, the Essaouira Dock! It is a fishing pier and also has some ghosted deco boats that can be put in the water or on land because why not.
Good thing to put deco boat on land! This is fun. New things all the time :)
Ok here is the Chefchaouen Well. This set is almost complete; I wish I had more time to work on it.
The last part of this set is some decorative walls/gates/maybe some buttresses if I can figure out how to make them look good. Then putting it all together and testing it to make sure it doesn't explode :P
you are getting better and better !
These new buildings look great!
Ok the last part of this set is complete! The Moroccan Gate! It is a bunch of wall pieces and gates. Now I just have to put it all together so I can release it :D
...and then start on the houses.
i like very much one of the wall texture: the one that is texturing each sides of the front one.
The brown marble y one or the brown stones one?

The brown marble y one or the brown stones one?
this one
Yeah it is a nice texture :) It was difficult finding marble ones that weren't floor tiles haha
And thank you,
@1 !
Woo! Mod set released! Onto the housing!
http://worldofbanished.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=546 (http://worldofbanished.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=546)
Congratulations !!!
I chime in with thank you for broadening our horizons. =)
Nicely done set!
Your set is very beautiful. Angainor88 could you check your four set again? All four set together with the rest of the mods from this site can not run. If not difficult.
@tuggistar Did you try putting this mod above any of my other mods? The toolbars might not be compatible. I have updated the other mods, but just moving this one might also work.
Let me know if that works :)
Everything works and runs, but without Moroccan Tea. With Moroccan Tea mod in no way.
Hmm I just updated the Moroccan Tea mod two days ago. Can you re-download and try again?
And, when you say it is not working, is it not showing up? or is it crashing the game?
Thanks!
The first of the houses is complete: the Bedouin House!
Very pretty!
Second house is done! I worry it looks too big, but the doors scale with vanilla houses...
The Atlas Mountain House
Wow. That's a nice one. I like that brown trim on the wall. :)
There is the inspiration for a whole set ;) :D
No worry, it is not too big!
Whew really busy week so I didn't get to work on mods much, but I finished the next part: the Ksar House!
I am going to make another piece of this, the Ksar Tower, but I need more time...
Those are nice! Can't wait for more. Good Job!
These took a lot of time to clean up in Blender for some reason, so there was some delay. But here is the Ksar Tower!
Awesome, they look great! What's the functionality going to be of them?:)
They are houses :)
Nice, interesting styled houses!
Next part: the Andalous Quarter House!
:) Hi. I know it takes time to make new buildings. You will be occupied :)
These new buildings (Ksar and Andalous) really shouts for a whole city. :)
Very nice, with details everywhere. You have made a fabulous choice of style!
Work at your own speed. We are glad for what's coming. :)
Thank you! I just wish I had more time for doing it, but real life keeps getting in the way :/
This mod is going to be really nice. Really good looking so far :)
@angainor88 ;D great homes, will you add stores, warehouses, etc. to this collection?Geetings
There is one storage barn in the Moroccan Misc set (the Atlas Mountain storage). I wasn't planning on adding others, unless there was something specific I see.
The next house: the Chefchaouen House!
oh, those are nice. I like the colors :)
Those are gorgeous :)
@angainor88 ;DGreat job - I can not wait for a new edition of your homes - if I talked about the back room, I did not mean a specific building - I just gave an example - I was not thinking about the magazine, you're a great moderator - you certainly have your visions when it comes to new buildings - if I can I suggest it would be useful bazaar? I think you add something for sure cool? Greetings
@taniu You always find such interesting pictures! I wish I could use more of them!
I don't know if I'll make any more ksar/kasbah houses, just because in real life they are very large and interconnected. It would be a waste in game to have one giant building that only houses 1 family. (It's a problem I am having a lot with this set, as the design of medieval towns in Morocco has a lot of connected buildings and it's hard to see from the outside where they split off, if they do at all. I wish I had access to floor plans haha)
@angainor88 :D I know how difficult it is to create something - there are only photos of general buildings- I'm looking of a single Moroccan building - the last buildings are fantastic - you have talent and you are a great architect - you have captured the small details of this style- I will still look through the pictures - maybe I will find something ? Greetings
Next piece: the Essaouira House
They're beautiful!:)
I've started my first tea plantation in my current game, love it!
They feel pretty well balanced with maturing time, harvest amount and a good price for trading.:)
Ooo yay! I am glad you like them! And thank you for the feedback! I didn't get to play with them much beyond making sure they worked properly, so it is always nice to hear from someone who is using them for real.
The next house, the Mellah House!
Ok took a while to finish but I completed the Moroccan Riad! I was too busy making deco trees...
Next up is a couple deco items, and then putting the whole thing together!
Congrats on the billboards! The trees look nice.
And as always - your house style is outstanding. :)
Thank you again for helping me on those. For some reason I was originally thinking 0,0 was at the center of the square not the bottom...
The final piece of the set is here: a series of decorative arches, buttresses, and awnings. It's the final piece of the set, so it's almost done! I just have to put it all together and make sure it all works properly.
nice things there :)
Looks great! :)
Very nice :)
Lovely! Looking forward to crowded, colorful towns!^^
Ok it is finally here and finished!
http://worldofbanished.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=572 (http://worldofbanished.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=572)
That has become a great set. Very original and well done in my opinion.
If you want to remove those light glitches on the ground along edges, you can just add closing faces at the bottom. It also works to fix it at surfaces of your model if you close walls in this way.
I must say they look fantastic together. The narrow alleys in your picture
feel absolutely right! :) Did you add a Kasbah?
I didn't add a kasbah (they are just too big) but the Ksar House and Tower could be from one...
Thanks everyone! I am going to be taking a short break from modding (moving at the end of the month, and I have too much to do), but I will return! Let me know if there is anything with these sets that should be fixed, and I'll update it when I get back. I'm already going to redo the AO on the South African sets :)
Yes, it turned out beautifully, really am going to have a go at a Northh Afrikan town.^^
Thanks a lot for these!
Good luck with the move and am looking forward to the updates.:)
Move finished! Still have some unpacking to do, but I will finally have some time to works on mods again :)
If there's anything that needs to be fixed/added to this set rot eh South African one, let me know!
Ok the real final house for the set :P
The Tekna Tent!
Re-uploading the houisng set with this now.
Also, I fixed the limit display on the Moroccan Teahouse. It should display the "alcohol" limit, not the "food" one now.
angainor88 : ;D thank you very much - fantastic set of buildings. Regards
