A reel is just a collection of clips from video work a person has done. A lot of fighting and action scenes in movies are actually done by stunt people who will stand in for actors and actresses.
There is a scene in Oblivion where Tom Cruise and his stunt double have a fight and it was filmed twice so the editors could then cut the scene so that it results in what you see in the movie.
