Hi all,
Just a small idea :) Land bridges, little mini land docks etc, essentially the idea is to take the dock pieces we have ingame b various modders, and expand the idea to also allow land placement, with parts of them that are ghosted, to go over things (like in the attached screenshot).
In the 'real world' we would have these little things, and in Embx's Irrigation set, there is a good example of one working. :)
A few pieces which could be included:
Flat 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 = terrain + 1 + 2 (height) + 3 etc
Ramps
Staircase / steps
These are just little pieces that can be used in creative ways, but also representative of what people do in real world environments :)

Just a casual bumpity bump :)
I spoke to
@embx61 about his little bridge that he has in his irrigation mod, and he has kindly agreed to doing a landbridge (http://worldofbanished.com/index.php?topic=1678.msg36815#msg36815), and a longer one, so, all set on the small 'casual stroll over the stockpile bridge', but - what about that large - 'over the cityscape' bridge?
Anyone up for the challenge?
Take it a bit further, if possible, and make the "bridge" wide enough to support more buildings...make a multi-layer town.....just a thought, lol
The bridges are in fact 'two-dimensional'. If you make a bridge and you tell bannies
to walk on it they never go under it. They jump up to where they are told to go.
Just two dimensions. Sad but true.
the graphic is 3d , but the game is hybrid 2d :-X
Yeah I know all about it.
Ghosted Bridges not going to work as the Bannies not even know it's there and walk right through it.
They only use the floor on that 1 tile I assigned to it in a test but after that 1 tile they not recognize the bridge and so floor at all.
I wish I had thought of it before I created a bridge what end up just as a not working decoration till I find a way to make it a real bridge in Banished. :(
