I live near old mining areas in N. California. Up in the mountains, the houses are long gone but you can tell where they were by the wild rose bushes that still survive.
Rose Hip Tea was/is popular for it's vitamin content and when converted to oil, it's skin care properties. It would be nice to have a one space rose bush in the game
that provided minor health value. Some color in the game would be nice too.
Yes, I think many of long for a little color. Some flowers and some bushes.

In our area it's day lilies and old, gnarled apple trees that mark the spot of long-gone farm houses.

It was old fruit orchards, mostly apples but also some pears and a few grapevines, that marked those where I grew up. Eventually they were "marked" by subdivisions. :'(
