Is there any difference betwen those and old ones
Not the models, no. But I have made them be built for free and
(if you want) they can be placed on road-tiles.
No work required when removing them. Click, and they're gone.

I can't answer that.
I didn't have them loaded when making these changes.

In my game it is save game compatible but the problem is that if I remove the old plants saved with v1 I can not build anything on that spot when v2 is enabled.
Anyway, I've reverted back to v1 for my current town.
Hmm. Seems as if you have to remove the plants first then update.
Things happen. Most of the code is the same. But my changes may corrupt
the old version.
It's not a problem for me as I don't really want to plant flowers on road tiles. Maybe if they came in flower beds...
