Two things:

(1) If someone wants to add a food the category that is really light is grains. It would be nice to have, say, the barley and sorghum from CC as separately available mods for those of us who find the whole CC to be just a bit too much. The un-modded Banished climate seems totally inappropriate for rice (my prejudice).

(2) The base honey that was included in the mod kit was a universal food: It fit into all categories. I'm not sure if you changed the flags, @RedKetchup, in your more balanced apiary, which is the one I use. I've seen balanced apiaries where honey counts as a grain and I think I've seen one where it counts as fruit. Basically, honey is bee-produced sugar, but since it's clearly neither vegetable nor protein, I guess that grain or fruit are the two better options. I do use it when I'm having trouble getting merchants to bring wheat or corn seeds in order to keep health/hearts from dropping too low, but I sort of feel like that is cheating.
