YEEES! Something like that i was look for!
Then I am glad you found it. ;)
Kid, much applause for you! These new buildings are wonderful :)
It's really great to see buildings that don't follow the traditional rectangle or square shape of Banished ;D
Hmm, I think I need to start a new map now that I have these new shinies!
Very good, always happy about more non-residentials... specially with the better caps too, that school and the new barn were long overdue :D
@kid1293 :)These new buildings are wonderfu .Thank you :)
Kinda wish, could be more buildings like that like gatherer's hut, hunter's lodge etc.

Sorry
@DesoPL not now. I guess there will be, but later.
@DesoPL - I felt bad to let you down.
I started with hunter and... now it is finished.
Will take a look at gatherer tomorrow.
Hey, that's a nice looking building there.
:) very nice hunting lodge, I hope gatherer will collect all of New Flora including flax and wild honey.
It's really nice to add more diversity but in the game, there is really nice looking house here :) but ... to say true, I dont like the roof :s
But yeah since I saw the last job from EB and RK I'm being difficult (or picky ?)
It's easy to want everything high class like EB or RK.
It is not hard to change the roof, but you are the only one pointing it out.
I think they fit in with the rest of the buildings.
I tried with higher resolution textures but no obvious improvement.
I leave them as they are, for now.
/HUG Kid !
Ok, Ok, big hug to you too RK!
You showed the way into this modding, and it's half my life now!
Here is the promised gatherer
:)
A couple more buildings and we have another village set :)
Shhh! Don't give such ideas!
(How do I delete that message?) :D
I spent more time modding then anything else.
But as long as I like it, and I do, even when it can be frustrating at times, it is cheaper then going to the local bar :)
1 building a day Kid and the set is finished in about 2 weeks :) <Ducking>
Are you using tanypredator's sources so the gatherer picks those extra resources up?

:) Too late
@kid1293 it's already been read. The gatherer's hut is just right, nice to be able to add a little fence and deco shrub any way the player wants to. Very nice.

Yes, but not flax. I haven't come to tailor and blacksmith yet. Will wait a bit.
Or tomorrow. Things are not easy to anticipate. Already thinking of a combined
tailor/blacksmith workshop. I like those.
And I didn't add NatDiv resources. Bartender is still rounding up the next version, so...
There are some incompatible things with flax, so maybe I skip it for now.
1 building a day - Yes, that seems like a good and steady speed.
This set is looking good-thank you kid. I have 1 question-is it possible to have everything with f variants for both colors? I would love for the school and town hall to be in the gray color also. I don't mod so do not know how difficult this would be to do.
@grammycat - When I started this mod I decided to make each house unique.
I have 3 sorts of wood, 2 roofs, 3 lower walls and 2 plaster walls to choose from.
I spread these out to make the houses different but consistent with the style.
I would be to break it all up and you know - If I say yes to change it, there
will be other wishes. In the end, it not the same mod I started with.
I don't want that. I like it as it is.
If you want only the roof to change, it is easy but I have to decide to do it.
I am not ready to violate the mod just yet.

I do too, they save room.
But if you do decide to make another combined workshop, can you create one this time so that bannies can make
all of the vanilla tools rather than just the basic ones ?
ie: Iron and steel tools (instead of just the iron)... Leather, wool, and warm clothes (instead of just the leather)
;D
Ok, wood, stone, iron, steel and hardened tools.
Vanilla clothes, I will not have linen since there is some compatibility
problems with Natural Diversity. (and with CC)
I understand completely, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you add to it-the hunter and gatherer look great.
Here is a Workshop with vanilla tools and clothes.
Maybe add a sign. I'll check later.
That workshop is very nice, great addition to the set. The workshop is always nice for starting a new town. I am glad
@ancientmuse suggested including all the tool and clothes options. Thank you both for nice addition to the set. :)
What if I place your mod beneath the North mod, would the workshop change its production? For example, iron bloom to iron.

Honestly, I have no idea.
Just place it there and check, that's all I can say.
Will upload soon.
You can check now
@Turis Version 1.1 is in Download.
Thanks, Kid! :)

it doesnt work like that
@Turis :)
every building has its own list of thing it can do, to add iron ore to iron it needs to be specified in the building template.
it has nothing to do about if it is a blacksmith or not.
Okay, never-mind.
Nah is all good, i am just busy but... DAMN SON! THAT STUFF LOOKS EVEN MORE COOL! ???

Awesome !
I love that it offers up all the vanilla tools and clothes.
It'll be great for small/tiny maps and limited land spaces.
Slowly running out of speed. :)
There is only a new Snug House and a Hospital in version 1.2
New version in Download.
And yes, just drop it in. It should stay stable.
I really hate it when I start thinking because it makes me wish something. Right now, my thoughts are around a single two-story rowhouse building with no ends nor corner buildings with the same textures as the rest.
@kid1293 , Ignore it if you don't want to do it.
@Turis I like it!
Narrow/wide?
Balcony?
Once you start thinking it is too late.:)
I was thinking something like 3x3 for a family of four; longer or taller for bigger families. I don't care about balconies. Roofs slanted toward the front and back.
This is my neighborhood.
Ever since my rear neighbor built a chicken den in his backyard, I'm awaken by his rooster at 6 am. I have to keep my windows opened because of the heat. It's horrible and driving me nuts!!!
Thanks for sharing!
It made me spend some time on Google Maps. Lot of details to look at.
Right now I have a break and it feels good to be away from modding.
It gives me time for some cleaning up and so...
...and back again.
@Turis - I have modelled two rowhouses and I have made f-key variants on both
so you can have both roof textures. It is against my policy for this mod but hey,
rowhouses are a bit repetitive, no?
Is this OK with you?
They're great, Kid! ;D
I am playing The North again, and downloaded today this updated mod. I did encounter a small issue, that I didn't have with the V1.
The storage bard does not want to store gold, or wool from sheep. I had put in another smaller barn for those. Now, gold I could see, as it's a new thing unique to Tom's The North (I think), so might need to be coded for it. But I had no problem with wool, but my bannies will not put wool in the barn. Just thought I'd throw that at you. Otherwise, it's great!
last i knew TOM was still using 1.06 limits. gold now <1.07> is under my precious.i have a similar storage issue with CC but it is because i use the my precious mod that is still 1.06. check your mine limit flag, that should tell you which type of storage you will need.
@twilightbreeze - I don't understand why this happens
wool is by default Textile
RawMaterialFlags _flags = Textile;
and here are my flags for storage
RawMaterialFlags _storageFlags = Edible | Tool | Health | Clothing | Textile | Fruit | Vegetable | Grain | Protein |
Custom0 | Custom1 | Custom2 | Custom6 | Custom7;
There should be no problems.
It's just a conflict between 1.0.6 and 1.0.7 beta. While in 1.0.6 modded barns have a CoalFuel flag for materials it is removed in 1.0.7 because CoalFuel is there used for mineral resources stored on piles. And in the North 5 (1.0.6) wool as well as gold are flagged as material.
Ah, I see. Hmmm....I mean, I've been using the default North red barn, along with kid's storage barn, just so all the bases get covered.
But is there any way to fix that? Or do we have to wait for 10.7 to come out of beta?
It can be fixed but actually I don't like to adapt beta mods to make it work in 1.0.6 again. It also can make problems if they include other changes.
So, the RowHouses are up and I hope you are not angry because I update so often.
Ideas for all three updates are coming from you. It was not something I had from
the beginning.
There will not be any More Houses for a while.
I'm satisfied with the size of the mod and I hope you like it too.
:)
Woo hoo! Love the new rowhouses, Kid! :) I can stick one to the side of the hospital in this set for the doctor to live in, aside from other uses.
I have been checking this forum every day hoping to find something new, and today I was rewarded!
I know you said you did not want F key variants for this set, aside from the roofs for the new townhouse, but maybe someday you will feel like having all the houses have another color, such as a brown tone, or have just their roofs have changeable colors, for the pretty houses.
Thanks so much for adding more to this set!
Yes, I hear you
@galensgranny and the thought of having all buildings
in two version is really bothersome. I really want them to be unique.
But who knows?
I really love these houses, and the colors are so subtle that they compliment each other beautifully. Thank you Kid.

Thanks
@grammycat , I really tried to make the colors match each other.
Some days you can stare yourself blind and some days it works fine.
This was a fine day!
Nice picture. I like the houses with a garden.
Really nice layout Grammy :)
That's true everything fit perfect together.
