GUYS, I LOST EVERYTHING.

E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G

The SSD 1GB i bought in July stopped working 😫😭
Everything to mod related , all the work i did since months, everything is lost, everything that was saved on the SSD 😭

My PC doesnt see my SSD at all anymore 😭

I maybe have a few things saved elsewhere on the other drives but mostly everything is gone.

That is WHAT WE DESERVE IN LIFE when we spend all your time to help others, to take our time to offer people things , free, graciously. Without expecting anything in return.
 :'(
I LOST EVERYTHING.

the ssd is split in 2, D: and E:

D: contains all my mods, all my files for Banished and all my games (blizzard Ententainment) and all steam games
E: contained all my saved folders with all the programs to install in case i need to reinstall everything, even my windows installation files. backup of everything modkit.

lost everything. i wish and ask God to help me just enough to make a back up  :'(

Is it an external drive? Try other ports. Also, it might be the cable.

Positive thoughts!!

Google 1 drive is fairly cheap at 30 bucks a year for 200 gigs. It's what I use.

RIP brother. All the goodies gone :'(

If you continue modding and want a place to backup, let me know. I run a Nextcloud server with nightly backups for friends & family and still have a few terabyte available. Could create an account for you too, if you want another place to store those files.

That is too bad.  Check with a computer repair business.  They may be able to recover the lost data.  :-\

It's possible that your new SSD may not have failed as there are times when a new hard drive will simply stop showing when windows looks for it.
If you're lucky, and this is the case, and your new SSD isn't in fact dead, but simply unseen, then there are ways to find it and change your settings so that it will be found by windows and then function as it normally would.
This happened to me with a new external had drive that I purchased, so by doing a search on  - How To Fix New Hard Drive Not Showing Up In Disk Management
I was able to fix the problem after which the hard drive was once more found by windows.

Try this

Good luck.

I've got everything back !!! everything.
I saw many comment about trying to put it connected to a USB device...
so i tried my 4x Probox USB Hub and it worked !!!!
I saw it immediately ! My PC BIOS can't see it anymore but my USB did !!!
WOOOOHOOOOO
Everything back on a real hard drive. took me like 2-3 hours of transfert continuously and the SSD hold it.
Now gonna transfert everything to a 2nd real hard drive lol

Transfert back data (https://mega.nz/file/tNsUHKrZ#DEYLwxjL5PreljT3zKKWj6LVw2a3m_PX6073CmTeVbM)

if you are looking for an external USB Hub... i strongly suggest this 4x Probox USB. This thing is a jewel of technology. super reliable, even in desperate times lol

THANKS GOD !!! He heard my prayers !!

I'm so glad you figured it all out!! Now call me super OCD but I lost everything on a HDD 20 plus years ago. That one instance made me so scared about losing stuff I started backing everything up. Then I backed up my back ups.

I still do this, have a backup in the cloud and two backups on external drives. It's good cybersecurity sense but also for your own peace of mind.

Gotta say, this community is great! You all jumped in to help problem solve this as fast as you could. No wonder we all stick around. :)
