How about a tiny simple campfire, that you can place anywhere, and your bannies will gather to it when they are cold? Especially when they are working way on the other side of the map, and might not get back to a house in time. Just a little solitary campfire, removable. Any thoughts?
the campfire is not a problem, it is the heat/cold reset timer of citizens the problem, they can only reset it at a residence (a residence with heat resource aka fuel). thats somethkg hard coded in the programmation of the game.
to make it work hehe, you would need to assign a residence to it lol so someone+ a family will live in it
(like homeless people living near a barrel in fire at Los Angeles ^^)
What if... we assigned the function of a Tailor, but one that asks for fuel instead of textile material?
And a new item would be made called "Heat" (or perhaps "Warmth"), which would be similar to a winter coat, but would only last for a short time. This way, it would look like the citizens were taking shelter near a fire instead of picking up a coat.
I know I didn't explain it very well, but I think I managed to convey the idea.
wont work sorry. you are trying to change the mechanics of the game which cannot do. and we have no control over coats and how long it last
Ok. Just thought I'd ask. :D
Yes. Unfortunately, it's not possible. Your idea of making the bonfire into a kind of outdoor shelter with a heating function is the best option, perhaps adjusting the 'storage' part to just 'Fuel'. The construction would require firewood and stones, but on a smaller scale.
i think you have now enough knowledge in coding to be able to do this :)
check the subforum The Laboratory for the code to make a bonfire and take the graphic/model and assign it to a residence form :)
a family will go live there ^^. of course, if you destroy the firecamp for rebuilding later in another zone... that family will be homeless till it find a suitable house/campfire ^^
