Hi everyone! I'm back with another question, hoping you can help me out.
Is there a way to change the color of the smoke coming out of a specific building's chimney? For example, making a house emit pink smoke instead of the usual grey?
Did you tried to play with those lines ?
resource/ParticleSystems/ChimneySmoke/ChimneySmoke.rsc
// particle appearance
float _particleSize = 0.15;
float _particleSizeTolerance = 0.05;
float _particleSizeAcceleration = 9.0;
float _particleSizeDrag = 1.0;
Color _particleStartColor = 0xC0C0C0C0; // <== that
Color _particleEndColor = 0xC0FFFFFF; // <= and that ??
Time _particleFadeIn = 0.1;
Time _particleFadeOut = 3.4;
from i dunno : #FFB6C1 to #AA336A
not sure whay Luke did put so many letters/numbers , usually they are written with 6 caracters. Maybe i think the first 0xC0 is about tranparency specially not sure what should be the caracters of those 4 first caracters with the numbers i mentionned.
Maybe 0xBFFFB6C1 and 0x#BFAA336A which goggle said.
Last year, I made several attempts at working with particles for the game, but I stopped after the last result opened a purple and black dimensional portal that engulfed the entire area where the NPCs were. lol
My idea is to color only the smoke of one specific building—like a place that makes potions or an alchemist's house, something like that.
Check RK's codes for fire. They are smaller.
(I also polluted the area) ;D
Here is my take on smaller chimney smoke.
Tiny smoke.
