Title: Survived
Post by: Abandoned on March 17, 2026, 12:35:31 PM
Here in Wisconsin we had an ice storm changing to snow and blizzard conditions for 2 days. Have just survived 3 days of off-and-on electricity and heat, no internet, only cell phone.

There is a 3 foot snow drift on the patio; poor kitty can't see out her favorite window without a step stool.  ;D

It's hard for me to imagine living in such conditions knowing that with the approach of winter the coldest it will be for me will be a light frost in July.

On another note, I drove into town yesterday and noticed the price of petrol had gone up by 60 cents per litre which was further compounded by the Reserve Bank that increased the national interest rate by .25 percent to counter the inflationary knock on effects of what the devil's disciple has done in the Middle East.

Now experts are predicting that there will be food shortages in the coming the coming months due to disruption in the supply of fertilizer to world markets.

It's heart breaking to know that there are people in this world who willingly follow, support and serve this monster.

Stay safe everyone.

One of the best things about being snowed-in with little electricity and internet was what news I heard was about the weather and not Trump.

It would be interesting to know who the people voted for who are now complaining about the high food and gas prices, wonder who they are blaming.  :-\  hmmm  who would be at fault?

So, I really like snowstorms  :D  Cat doesn't, she can't see out the window and there are no squirrels or birds to watch.  Forecast for warmer days by the end of the week.  :)

Oh wow that's a long storm! I had a couple of day long storms this year, but luckily kept power. But it doesn't look like any more are in store until next winter.

I love snowstorms too, but hate having to shovel lol.

Ya, this was not normal, a little too much but it has caught us up on needed precipitation for the winter.  :)

I like to shovel but 3 or 4 inches is my limit. I like the snowfalls when there are those great big fluffy fakes gently falling  :)  so magical and something to look forward to winter coming again.  ;D   Spring first, only 2 more days and counting  ;D

I would rather have too much cold and snow in winter than too much heat in summer; don't like air-conditioning and freeze in summer just to go grocery shopping  ;D   I say "I can't wait till winter so there will be heat!"  ;D
