Which, in your own opinion, is the firewood chopper that has the best output from logs in the game? Any chopper, standalone, or in a mod. Please list two of the best, in your own opinion please.

original wood cutter makes 3 to 4 firewood with 1 log

In RKEC environment the wood cutter makes 5 to 8 firewood with 2 logs

good  question cause there is also a time factor to it. I use tyhe mini mod cutter at the beginning of games. increase the forewood limit to help build a surplus. usually have it up to 500 by the 2nd winter, depending on how busy things are. sometimes it is nice to have them hit limits and help laborers.

then I use KIDD's sawmill that can make lumber as well. as it hits the limit switch to cutting some lumber to also stockpile for other projects later.

are your still having issues with thatch? which mod is spawning the thatch?  to me, only 1 mod will allow the thatch to not die off without a fodder hut.  this may b mod order related though.
