How about some kind of market to sell the food production coming from the Hanging Gardens?

How about The Great Market of Chichen Itza in Mexico?

Historically, it was a massive trade hub, so it fits perfectly as a specialized market and a new Wonder for the game. This would be the perfect building to handle the food surplus from the Hanging Gardens.

Just a quick heads-up so you don't think I haven't done my homework! lol Controversy: There's no conclusive evidence that it was actually a market; some interpretations suggest it could have been a hall for administrative meetings or a ceremonial space.

What do I think? Since it's been called a market for so many years, let's just call it a market. After all, this is a game adaptation — the goal is to be a beautiful mod for Banished, not a segment for a History Channel documentary.

I first thought of Petra, but I'm torn... it's huge, but it would definitely work as a great open-air market.

RedKetchup

the Chichen Itza - Templo de los Guerreros could be a thing though

Exactly! When I was researching markets and Wonders, I first thought of Petra, but as soon as I saw Chichen Itza, I started changing my mind. Looking into it further, I read about the market activities nearby, and I thought it'd be cool to use Chichen Itza itself as a 'Wonder Market.' However, since it's a closed structure rather than an open-air one, I scrapped that idea and focused on the actual market nearby.

bah it can be in the back as i said. the market outside. people tend to try to sell and make money where people go :P
( if the pyramid doesnt take all the space :P )

In this model, we see two green snake heads. Even though we don't see colors on the structure today, if we think about it, it must have been very colorful back then, just like in the model. Definitely. And considering the history, they definitely fit the local culture!

Here's a link with some photos—it's in Brazilian Portuguese, but the images are what matter most. If you need to read anything, you can just use Google Translate.
